LG Leader Guide | Week of 2.1.26

Lifegroup Leaders,

WAY TO GO! Our church just persevered through a winter storm, chose to partner together to pray 24/7(!), and is trusting God with deep places we need comfort and/or direction. A cloud of witnesses in heaven is cheering us on (Hebrews 12:1). I want to do the same. WAY TO GO!! Such a privilege to be a part of this church body!

The final week of the fast focuses on God turning our Deserts Into Rivers. We continue to encourage fasting from nonessential media and to look up and do righteousness around us. Some ways to encourage participation are found on pages 33 and 34 of the booklet. Encourage one another to choose one each day to practice!

A few ideas that stuck out to me:

  • Giving generously – how can I cheerfully and proactively give to needs around me for the Glory of God? (i.e., the poor, widows, orphans, foster care, local and global missions, etc.)

  • Serving our city – What situations in our city break your heart or bother you? What is a step you can take to serve?

  • Sharing Jesus Boldly - sharing with someone else what you love is natural (food, books, movies, etc.). We don’t need to hide our first love of God from others! Inviting someone to share a meal to hear their story, to church, to read the Bible, to Lifegroup, to hear the Gospel, are all ways, small ways, the Kingdom of Heaven comes to earth. Don’t underestimate the power of a seed sown in Jesus name.

Excited to seek God together and build a highway for His presence in our hearts, church, and city.
